Jeans for Means is an incredible employee-funded give back program that was started in 2013. Since its inception, L.K. Jordan & Associates have donated over $43,000 to 12 organizations that directly impact our local communities in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Houston and Austin, Texas.
This time it was our Corpus Christi branch’s turn to choose which local charity would receive the donation. Because of the fantastic work that the Kieschnick House does they were chosen as the recipients of $5,800. Linda & Leslie Jordan announced that they would raise it to an amazing $10,000!
The Kieschnick Guest House is owned by the CHRISTUS Spohn Health System Foundation and acts as a special “home away from home” for families that have loved ones in a CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital. The Guest House is located across the street from one of the hospitals and has 19 guest rooms, each with a private bath and access to a central living room. This House is provided as a community service for families at a minimal donation of $25 per night (to defray routine maintenance). The local news station, KRIS 6 News, was also there and did a story on our donation to this fantastic local charity.
Were were so lucky to be able to donate $10,000 to the Kieschnick Guest House and thank not only our very own L.K. Jordan employees for their generous donations but also Linda and Leslie Jordan who almost matched it! We look forward to seeing who we can help in the future!
